Get to know me.
I'm a big kid a heart. I have been a youth pastor and public science school teacher for over 20 years. I bring a unique perspective to preaching/ teaching as believe the Word of God should be visual, relatable, and exciting. I hate boring sermons, so I do my best to use my background in education to make things simple and understandable. However, I highly revere the Word of God and therefore I don't dodge tough sections of scripture but walk through each verse, chapter, and book with the goal to understand the Word of God so we can know the will of God for our lives.
I did not join the ministry because, I love theology and intellectual discussion. I became a pastor because God has transformed my life and I want everyone to have that same experience. Yes, I know what it's like to be broken, to want to do better but not knowing how. I come from a poor family in a small town in Colorado. I love my family but we were broken. Sin has been a dominate factor in my family for generations, such as alcoholism, violence, etc. By the grace of God, I am the first generation in my family to experience the freedom and joy that God gives. Therefore, I give my life in service to Him, that people might be impacted for generations to come.
